UCP 600 - Article 24: 

Road, Rail or Inland Waterway Transport Documents

সড়ক, রেল বা অভ্যন্তরীণ নৌপথ

a.A road, rail or inland waterway transport document, however named, must appear to:[যে নামেই ডাকা হোক না কেন, একটি সড়ক, রেল বা অভ্যন্তরীণ নৌপথের পরিবহন দলিলে নিম্নোক্ত বিষয়গুলো থাকতে হবে:]

i.indicate the name of the carrier and:[এতে carrier (পরিবহনকারী)-এর নাম উল্লেখ থাকতে হবে এবং:]

  • be signed by the carrier or a named agent for or on behalf of the carrier, or
    [carrier নিজে বা carrier-এর পক্ষে বা তার হয়ে কোনো নির্দিষ্ট agent দ্বারা স্বাক্ষরিত হতে হবে; অথবা]

  • indicate receipt of the goods by signature, stamp or notation by the carrier or a named agent for or on behalf of the carrier.[carrier বা carrier-এর পক্ষে বা তার হয়ে কোনো নির্দিষ্ট agent-এর স্বাক্ষর, সিল বা নোটেশন দিয়ে মালামাল রিসিভের বিষয়টি উল্লেখ করবেন।]

Any signature, stamp or notation of receipt of the goods by the carrier or agent must be identified as that of the carrier or agent.[carrier বা agent-এর যে কোনো স্বাক্ষর, সিল বা মালামাল গ্রহণের নোটেশন থাকলে তাতে স্পষ্টভাবে বোঝা যেতে হবে যে এটি carrier বা agent- কার স্বাক্ষরিত।]

Any signature, stamp or notation of receipt of the goods by the agent must indicate that the agent has signed or acted for or on behalf of the carrier.[যদি agent স্বাক্ষর, সিল বা নোটেশন দেয়, তাহলে উল্লেখ থাকতে হবে যে সে carrier-এর পক্ষে বা তার হয়ে কাজ করেছে।]

If a rail transport document does not identify the carrier, any signature or stamp of the railway company will be accepted as evidence of the document being signed by the carrier.[যদি রেল পরিবহন দলিলে carrier-এর নাম খুঁজে না পাওয়া যায়, তাহলে রেলওয়ে কোম্পানির যে কোনো স্বাক্ষর বা সিলকে carrier-এর স্বাক্ষর হিসেবে গ্রহণ করা হবে।]

ii.indicate the date of shipment or the date the goods have been received for shipment, dispatch or carriage at the place stated in the credit.[এতে shipment-এর তারিখ অথবা LC-তে উল্লিখিত স্থানে shipment, dispatch অথবা carriage-এর জন্য মালামাল গ্রহণ করার তারিখ উল্লেখ থাকতে হবে।]

Unless the transport document contains a dated reception stamp, an indication of the date of receipt or a date of shipment, the date of issuance of the transport document will be deemed to be the date of shipment.[যদি transport document-এ তারিখসহ reception stamp, পণ্য গ্রহণের তারিখ বা shipment date উল্লেখ না থাকে, তাহলে transport document-এর issue date-কে shipment date হিসেবে ধরা হবে।]

iii.indicate the place of shipment and the place of destination stated in the credit.

[এতে LC-তে উল্লেখিত shipment-এর স্থান এবং destination-এর স্থান একই থাকতে হবে।]

b.i.A road transport document must appear to be the original for consignor or shipper or bear no marking indicating for whom the document has been prepared.[সড়ক পরিবহন দলিলটি consignor বা shipper-এর জন্য নির্ধারিত কপিটি original হতে হবে, অথবা অরিজিনাল কপিটি কার জন্য দলিলটি প্রস্তুত করা হয়েছে তার উল্লেখ থাকতে পারবে না।]

[*ব্যাখ্যা: অরিজিনাল কপি অবশ্যই onsignor বা shipper-এর জন্য হবে। অথবা বেনামি হবে।]

ii.A rail transport document marked "duplicate" will be accepted as an original.[রেল পরিবহন দলিলে “duplicate” লেখা থাকলেও তা original হিসেবে গ্রহণযোগ্য হবে।]

iii.A rail or inland waterway transport document will be accepted as an original whether marked as an original or not.[রেল বা অভ্যন্তরীণ নৌপথ পরিবহন দলিল original লেখা থাকুক বা না থাকুক, তা original হিসেবে গ্রহণ করা হবে।]

c.In the absence of an indication on the transport document as to the number of originals issued, the number presented will be deemed to constitute a full set.[Transport document-এ কতটি original ইস্যু করা হয়েছে তা উল্লেখ না থাকলে, যে সংখ্যক দলিল উপস্থাপন করা হবে সেটিকেই পূর্ণ সেট হিসেবে গণ্য করা হবে।]

d.For the purpose of this article, transhipment means unloading from one means of conveyance and reloading to another means of conveyance, within the same mode of transport, during the carriage from the place of shipment, dispatch or carriage to the place of destination stated in the credit.[এই অনুচ্ছেদের উদ্দেশ্যে transhipment বলতে বোঝায়—একই ধরনের পরিবহন ব্যবস্থার মধ্যে একটি যানবাহন থেকে পণ্য নামিয়ে অন্য যানবাহনে পুনরায় তোলা, যা shipment বা dispatch-এর স্থান থেকে LC-এ উল্লেখিত destination পর্যন্ত পরিবহনের সময় ঘটে।]

e.i.A road, rail or inland waterway transport document may indicate that the goods will or may be transhipped provided that the entire carriage is covered by one and the same transport document.[যদি সম্পূর্ণ পরিবহন একই transport document দ্বারা কাভার করা থাকে এই ধরনের transport document-এ উল্লেখ থাকতে পারে যে পণ্য transhipment হবে বা হতে পারে ।]

ii.A road, rail or inland waterway transport document indicating that transhipment will or may take place is acceptable, even if the credit prohibits transhipment.[Transport document-এ transhipment হবে বা হতে পারে উল্লেখ থাকলেও  LC-তে transhipment নিষিদ্ধ হলেও তা গ্রহণযোগ্য হবে।]
