Interpretations [ব্যাখ্যা]
Where applicable, words in the singular include the plural and in the plural include the singular. [প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে, একবচনের শব্দগুলো বহুবচন এবং বহুবচনের শব্দগুলি একবচন বোঝাবে।]
A credit is irrevocable even if there is no indication to that effect. [এলসিতে উল্লেখ না থাকলেও তা অপ্রত্যাহারযোগ্য (irrevocable) এলসি হিসেবে গণ্য হবে।]
A document may be signed by handwriting, facsimile signature, perforated signature, stamp, symbol or any other mechanical or electronic method of authentication. The words "to", "until", "till", "from" and "between" when used to determine a period of shipment include the date or dates mentioned,
and the words "before" and "after" exclude the date mentioned. [যখন "to", "until", "till", "from" এবং "between" শব্দগুলি দিয়ে শিপমেন্টের পিরিয়ডকে বোঝায় তখন উল্লিখিত তারিখ/দিনটি পিরিয়ডের মধ্যে রয়েছে ধরে গণণা করা হবে।

The terms "first half" and "second half" of a month shall be construed respectively as the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to the last day of the month, all dates inclusive. [কোন মাসের "first half" বলতে ১ থেকে ১৫ তারিখ বুঝাবে এবং "second half" বলতে ১৬ থেকে মাসের শেষ দিন বুঝাবে। যেখানে তারিখগুলো অন্তর্ভূক্ত থাকবে।]
The terms "beginning", "middle" and "end" of a month shall be construed respectively as the 1st to the 10th, the 11th to the 20th and the 21st to the last day of the month, all dates inclusive. [মাসের ক্ষেত্রে "beginning", "middle" and "end" বলতে ১ থেকে ১০, ১১ থেকে ২০ এবং ২১ থেকে মাসের শেষদিন বুঝাবে, যেখানে তারিখগুলো অন্তুর্ভূক্ত থাকবে।]
